Acer has a total overhaul its notebook targets through new designs for both business systems TravelMate notebooks and the Aspire consumer notebook.

Although it is the smallest notebook in the ranks of the Santa Rosa system, the TravelMate 6292 has no ultraportabel a slim design and elegant like the design on the Sony Vaio. But the Acer TravelMate 6292 has claimed that the weigh no more than 2 kg.

Above the table, the system has dimensions of 306 x 227 mm larger than A4 paper size and height of 34.5 mm and 27.5 mm behind the front.

Acer parties said they had tried hard to develop a new design on the TravelMate series. The design is expected to provide ergonomic design, quality and better resistance. False cypress supporting element is the addition of a mixture of magnesium into the TravelMate chassis for added strength. Plus the screen is protected by a cover that is very solid.

But unfortunately, the increase in this design does not provide a brace to unify the two sections. The concluding section is smaller than the main system unit and the section side and the back end there is a gap that allows the entry of foreign objects. Additional a clear clamp will close the two sections.

TravelMate 6292 has a 12.1-inch widescreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. This size is large enough to open 2 windows at the same time.

The keyboard is comfortable to use with few separate button to activate the WiFi and Bluetooth. Under the keyboard there are 2 button touchpad. And further down there anymore fingerprint sensor. Meanwhile, Acer Crystal Eye webcam on the top of the screen.

TravelMate 6292 operates on Windows Vista Business operating system. With Core 2 Duo T7300 processor running at speeds of 2.0GHz and 2GB of memory which is a good combination to run Vista. System graphics Intel 965GM chipset is strengthened by more specific or GMA X3100.

In addition, the TravelMate 6292 also comes with a 8X DVD Super Multi on the right side. Then there is also the reader SD, MMC and Memory Stick. At the end of the right side terdaapt 2 USB 2.0 ports and an RJ-11.

On the left side there are three USB 2.0 ports, RJ-45 and PC Card slot. The back of the notebook is mostly used for Li-ion batteries 4.800mAH. The rest used to power connector and a VGA port and S-Video. (novi)
